  • Yes. All new clients receive a complimentary consultation where we assess your natural lash and brow condition, facial features, lifestyle, and desired outcome to create a bespoke treatment plan tailored specifically to you.

  • Yes. If it's your first appointment with The Lash Lab, a consultation and patch test must be completed at least 24 hours before your treatment. This helps ensure the products used are suitable for your skin and minimises the risk of adverse reactions.

  • The best lash style depends on your eye shape, natural lashes, lifestyle, and the look you'd like to achieve. During your consultation, we'll recommend the most flattering option, whether that's Classic, Hybrid, Volume, Wispy, Wet Look, or Mega Volume lashes.

  • Retention varies from person to person and depends on your natural lash cycle, aftercare routine, and lifestyle. Most clients return for infills every 2–3 weeks to keep their lashes looking full and fresh.

  • An infill is a maintenance appointment where grown-out extensions are removed and new extensions are applied to replace lashes that have naturally shed. To qualify for an infill, at least 50% of your extensions must remain and the appointment must be within 2–3 weeks of your last visit.

  • Foreign fills are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Depending on the condition and quality of the existing extensions, removal and a fresh full set may be recommended to achieve the best results.

  • No. When professionally applied and properly maintained, lash extensions should not damage your natural lashes. At The Lash Lab, we carefully select lash lengths, curls, and weights that are suitable for your natural lash health.

    Your natural lashes go through a normal shedding cycle, and lash extensions are attached to individual natural lashes so they will shed naturally together as your own lashes complete their growth cycle.

  • Please arrive with clean lashes and brows, free from makeup, oils, and skincare products around the eye area. This helps us achieve the best possible results and retention.

  • Please inform us of any allergies, sensitivities, medical conditions, or previous reactions before your appointment. If irritation or an allergic reaction occurs, seek medical advice immediately. Lash services cannot be performed on clients with active eye infections or irritation.

  • To maximise retention:

    • Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours.

    • Avoid oil-based products around the eyes.

    • Clean your lashes regularly with a lash-safe cleanser.

    • Avoid rubbing, pulling, or sleeping directly on your lashes.

    • Brush your lashes daily with a clean spoolie.

    • Do not use eyelash curlers or mascara on your extensions.

    • Book lash refills every 2–3 weeks to maintain a full, fresh look.

    Following the recommended aftercare will help maintain healthy natural lashes and longer-lasting extensions.

  • Our brow treatments are tailored to enhance your natural features and may include brow mapping, shaping, waxing, tweezing, trimming, and tinting or hybrid dye application where applicable. To complete your treatment, we apply soothing aftercare products and a brow concealer for a polished, high-definition finish.

  • Results vary depending on the treatment, skin type, and aftercare.

    Hybrid Dye lasts approximately 8 days on the skin and 5–6 weeks on the brow hairs, depending on skin type, aftercare, and natural hair growth cycle. For a more defined and longer-lasting stain effect, processing time and proper aftercare are key.

    Tint lasts up to 7 days on the skin and up to 3–4 weeks on the brow hairs, depending on skin type, lifestyle, aftercare, and natural hair growth cycle. For best results, avoid excessive water, steam, exfoliants, and oil-based products around the brow area for the first 24–48 hours after treatment.

    During your appointment, we'll advise you on the expected longevity and maintenance schedule for your chosen brow service.

  • Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled up to 48 hours before the appointment time. Late cancellations will incur a fee of 50% cost of booked service, and no-shows will be charged the full service amount. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may be treated as a no-show.

  • All services are non-refundable. However, if you experience significant lash fallout within 72 hours of your appointment and have followed the recommended aftercare instructions, you may be eligible for a complimentary refill assessment. Please contact us within 72 hours of your appointment so we can arrange a priority appointment to assess and, where appropriate, correct the lashes.

  • Appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled directly through our online booking system, making it quick and convenient to manage your bookings. We kindly ask that any rescheduling or cancellation requests are made in accordance with our cancellation and rescheduling policy outlined in our Terms of Service.

  • The Lash Lab is located inside Studio 10 on Holborn Street, Rathquarter, Sligo. You'll find us in a welcoming and professional salon environment, conveniently located in the heart of Sligo town.
